A JCB is an incredibly versatile machine, with the arm on the back for digging trenches and a loading shovel on the front. The versatility of a JCB is greatly enhanced, by the fact it can legally drive on the public highway, unlike the caterpillar digger, which has to be ferried about on a lowloader which incurs greater cost. The reason for the use of the caterpillar is it is a much more powerful machine.
Max on the left, then his mum Peppy, with Luke on the phone, then Monty looking at his master with Jake on the right.

The digger fills it's bucket with concrete, to take to the back of the site, because the mixer is unable to reach that far.

All the concrete foundations are in place, ready for the bricks to be laid on top. In the building trade they are known as the 'footings'.
