Computers send you nuts

Horror of horrors, my main machine has died, in a previous posting I wrote about cleaning the heat sink, thing is we always learn the hard way. I have subsequently found out when applying thermal grease to the top of the CPU, apply it in a thin layer, whoops, seems like CPU is fried, I was smearing thermal grease on the CPU like it was marmalade.

So anyway, I am going to throw in the towel and upgrade to 64 bit, what self respecting geek runs 32 bit anyway?

Machines serviced

If you run an AMD they tend to run on the hot side, this means cooling the CPU is a serious issue. After about six months, the fins on the heat exchanger that sits atop the CPU clog up with dust, this stops the heat exchanger working efficiently, this results in the machine working unstably and lots of crashes. So if you're machine is running unstably, it might be because the heat exchanger is clogged with dust.

I'm pleased to say I did both machines today.

IQ test

For friends who want to test their IQ's
for the record, I achieved 106, very slightly above average, so a genius I am not lol. BTW the average is 100.

Update - amazing, I did it again, but this time achieved 108 so apparently my IQ has risen by two whole points! Obviously I'm wondering if I do it again, will it get any higher? Perhaps if I practiced it, I could end up a genius.
