The little estate I live on, has a small plot of land that is being developed with two houses. So for something to do more than anything else, I'm going to document the process.
This is the plot that will be built on, just to the left and the other side of the red car, which incidentally is my car being returned by my daughter.
Here you can see the trees have been chopped down behind the small brick building, which incidentally is a garage with its door the other side. I always find it remarkable how much we alter things, when I return to places I have visited in the past they are often unrecognizable, the sad thing being no one documents these changes. I often wondered what the little brick building was. The fact that I have now discovered it was a garage tells me there must have been a long vanished house next to it, behind the garage is a reservoir. Probably to build the reservoir houses had to be demolished.
This is the grand old lady of our estate Mary, believe it or not, she actually planted the trees in the picture below, sadly now chopped down.
The stumps left after the trees have been chopped down.
The caterpillar digger arrives, to dig out the tree stumps and prepare the site for the foundations.
