Wheels
In Sept 1998 I had a stroke, this did not disable me that much, it just meant I found walking more difficult and it changed me from being right handed to being left handed. What really disabled me, was COPD aka Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Desease. This means I get very out of breath after doing very little. This desease is caused in the main by smoking. I gave up smoking over a year ago.
Due to enormous pressure from my darling daughter, I instigated procedures to be declared officially disabled, which means I qualify for more state benefits, one benefit is the motability scheme, which basically means, the state in its infinite wisdom has decided I qualify for a car, so instead of being cooped up in this damn room, day in day out, I can get about again. I do not exactly know when the car arrives, but rest assured, when it does there will be a photo of me sitting in it, on this 'ere blog.
